A Cornish Retreat

The week offers a space to reflect, renew and create healthy changes in your life. There will be a simple structure: optional daily yoga, meditations and mindfulness exercises to help you gain a healthier perspective on yourself, your relationships and your life; spells of silence; the company of friendly and supportive people and great home cooked (by us all !!) vegetarian food.

You may choose to remain still and reflective for the entire week and there will be wonderful opportunities to do that: a quiet room, solitary coastal walks and a tranquil atmosphere.

Or you may choose to take individual Focussed Mindfulness, reflexology or other therapy sessions* to heal and clear any personal issues.

And you may choose to be more active for some of the time. There is also surfing at Polzeath beach (bring your own gear); amazing fish restaurants such as Rick Stein’s in Port Isaac and nearby Padstow; coastal and inland guided wildlife walks with Clare and possibly some other activities offered by others on the retreat – these will be announced nearer the time.

*there will be an additional charge for these. Please see below for more details.

Testimonials from last year:

“By being conscious I can let life teach me what I need to learn and grow.”

“Excellent. Everything seemed to be of good quality (the kitchen tools, beds, etc). Very comfortable. The house was large enough that people were able to either mingle or be alone as they felt they wanted to be.”

“Fantastic! Beautiful house. Characterful and yet comfortable and cosy. Lots of space, amazing array of pots and pans, serving dishes and crockery. Really well equipped for a big group. In a most gorgeous setting with beautiful outside space to relax and sit. Loved the table-tennis too!”

'I was able to have a one-to-one Focussed Mindfulness session with Clare and experience further shifts and deeper healing in my own way of being. This left me feeling more free and open to offering a one-to-one session with another participant. Before this session and meditations I was conscious that I was protecting my sense of wellbeing and solitude. I was then able to see that I was acting from a fear of meeting someone else’s needs rather than my own.'

“An unforgettable experience. It has helped me to see that I'm not just mum  wife, carer, worker. I'm also me and I need to nurture me as well as everyone else.”

“A really enriching and freeing experience. It was life-changing for me and felt to be the start of making real changes and creating the life I want. It was beautifully and subtly organised.”

“A sense of being supported and nurtured to recover from a recent difficult period of my life. Feeling richer, a sense of the Focussed Mindfulness community. I knew that the processes would be deep and I could trust any of the practitioners to hold the space for me.”

"Really appreciated flexibility to be. Enjoyed that there wasn't a formal programme but knowing support was there if needed and was freely given. Also, we were given options as to how we wanted it to be. I had a very healing 1:1 with Clare, more healing and letting go."

“It was wonderfully subtle. I felt very safe. Sensitive awareness of variety of needs and changing moods.”

“A wonderful opportunity to take time, to rest in spacious surroundings, clear stuff as it arose. Thank you Clare for organising and making all this available.”

“Definitely value for money. Would definitely love to do this again in the future. I liked the morning meditations and flexibility of retreat.”

“By being conscious I can let life teach me what I need to learn and grow.”

“I'm a person who deserves to invest time into me. I've also realised that the only person that is stopping me from where I want to be is me!”

“Clare mindfully held the space whilst each of us found our way to be with each other and ourselves.”
