"Focussed Mindfulness opens our hearts more fully to ourselves, to our deepest hurts and longings and challenges our long-held beliefs. It is a deeply healing process."
These techniques will allow you to reawaken to your deepest feelings, to your true self and to your potential. What matters is that you are able to take the time for you so that you can be compassionate and true to yourself. Together we will discover who you are and re-awaken the gift that is you.
About me: Life has challenged me in a variety of ways ... anxiety, depression, bereavement, feeling worthless, low self-esteem, loss, and in finding fulfilling work and meaningful and healthy relationships.
Looking back, I've led a varied and interesting work life starting with working as a secretary and in administration before becoming a graphic designer. My awakening came from realising I didn’t enjoy this work any longer and that there must be more to life and to who I am. I then travelled through Spain improving my language skills before working with young people and adults in outdoor education and those with challenging behaviour back in the UK. The common themes have been for me to improve my communication skills and to have a better understanding of human behaviour, the world around us and, more importantly, myself.
Becoming a person-centred counsellor enabled me to make sense of and identify my own issues and what was still holding me back in life. I didn’t appreciate that I still had a way to go in connecting with my true and deepest self and that I first needed to give myself the gift of compassion. Ultimately, this need has led me to Focussed Mindfulness. Life will continue to present challenges but I now know and believe that I can deal with whatever comes my way whilst honouring my true self.
On a less serious note, I make time for yoga, meditation, spending time in the great outdoors, walking, cycling, reading, cooking, the cinema and gardening. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family who have described me as loyal, honest, fun, witty, easy to be with, a good listener, accepting and non-judgmental. Also that I’m considerate, thoughtful, gentle, easy going, spiritual, very approachable and that I can laugh at myself. I’m still working on my less admirable qualities ... I’m not perfect, I’m just a human being who continues to learn and grow and to do the best that I can.

A. 32, Manchester. “I had troubles I could not figure out on my own … I felt trapped. Through Focussed Mindfulness techniques I have recognised that it is OK to accept and love myself for who I am. This is a path to discover all the goodness inside you and it can be very successful if you open up to it.
I am so thankful that Lisa helped me when I needed her most. I am more positive, more aware as well as more accepting of myself for who I am every moment of my life. She helped me to see all the potential and strength I have in me. And this is the most precious thing I could re-gain in my life to move forward.
I would recommend trusting her with choosing the right techniques for you and to just go with it ... it is well worth it!”
